Tokyo Hotel Review ✨ Sleep Under the Skytree! Petit Grande Miyabi Stay 🌙🌸
Stay in the heart of Sumida with a rooftop Skytree view and just 5 mins from the metro 📸
Hi everyone, Hattie here 👋 Welcome to my little corner of the internet. This Tokyo trip, my very first hotel pick was Petit Grande Miyabi 🏨, and honestly—it was love at first sight.

The reason? One single picture: that dreamy Tokyo Skytree view ✨. Combine that with a 9.0 rating on Booking.com, glowing reviews, and boom—I clicked “reserve” faster than you can say Tokyo Skytree.
📍 Location: Safe & Quiet Sumida City
When I saw “Sumida City” on the map, I was like: Wait, where even is that? 🤔 I had only heard of Shibuya, Harajuku, or Shinjuku—the typical Tokyo hotspots. Turns out, Sumida is literally the home of the Skytree, located in the quieter northeast of Tokyo.
The vibe here is calm, less chaotic than central Tokyo, and most importantly—it feels super safe. For a first-time Tokyo traveler like me, that peace of mind was priceless 💗.
The nearest metro, Ryogoku Station, is just a 5-minute walk away 🚃. Perfect for exploring but also escaping the overwhelming city buzz.
🛏 Room Tour|Tokyo Hotels = Small but Cozy

I booked a triple room, and let’s just say… the three beds basically filled the entire space 🤣. But hey, priorities first—the beds were so comfortable! Like, dangerously comfy. After walking 20,000 steps in Tokyo, sinking into that mattress felt like heaven 😍

Space-wise? Two 29-inch suitcases could be opened, but once they were flat on the floor—good luck moving around 😂. But honestly, that’s Tokyo for you. Small, compact, but somehow charming. It almost felt like part of the Tokyo cultural experience.

🛠 Facilities|Tiny Space, Big Surprises
Okay, let’s talk about the real MVP: 👉 free laundry and dryer machines 💯. Yes, FREE. No coins, no awkward waiting. Just toss in your clothes anytime—super clutch for long trips 👏

There’s also a fridge, microwave, and hangers. The bathroom? Small, yes, but it had proper dry/wet separation and strong hot water pressure 💦. After a whole day exploring Tokyo, a good shower = pure happiness🛁
🌆 Rooftop Magic|Skytree Without the Crowds
Now let’s talk about the main event: the rooftop 🌸
The space isn’t huge, but it’s beautifully arranged—and most importantly—you get a direct view of Tokyo Skytree 🌆

At sunset, the sky melts into dreamy pinks, oranges, and purples, making the Skytree glow ✨. The best part? You don’t need to squeeze into busy tourist spots for the shot. You literally just go upstairs, and voilà—Insta-worthy Tokyo pictures, right at your hotel 📸

🏮 Atmosphere|Hidden in the Alley, Japanese Charm
Miyabi doesn’t sit on a main road. Instead, it’s tucked into a quiet alley, which makes it feel like a secret hideout 🌸. The entrance has a sleek Japanese-style sliding door that adds to its charm.

The lobby? Cozy and welcoming. There’s free coffee, snacks, and even bananas 🍌 (rare to find fruit in Japanese hotels, so this was such a thoughtful touch).

The staff spoke great English and helped me with all my newbie Tokyo transportation questions 💌. Honestly, their kindness made me feel so much more relaxed during my first Tokyo trip.
⚖️ Tiny Drawback: The Small Room
If I had to nitpick—it’s the room size. Especially with a triple room (extra bed = even less space). For two people, I think it’d feel a lot better.
But let’s be real—tiny hotel rooms are kind of a Tokyo trademark. I mean, it’s almost like part of the travel experience 😂.
🌟Hattie’s Final Thoughts|Perfect for First-Time Tokyo Travelers
