During this California trip, my “well-prepared” friend had already planned the itinerary perfectly.

After all, this might be the only time in my life I visit California (who knows when I’ll get to go to the U.S. again!)
I was terrified of missing those ✨places that touch your heart — and the ones you’d regret skipping✨
After a long selection process — plus some unreasonable last-minute additions (thankfully my friend was patient with me XD) — I ended up loving these 4 spots so much.
The fourth one was even worth changing our plan and renting a car for!
🎢 1｜Universal Studios Hollywood: A Paradise for Simpsons Fans!
If you only choose one theme park, I highly recommend Universal Studios Hollywood 💯
It’s not only super fun but also very photogenic!
Especially if you visit in early December — the Christmas vibes are everywhere 🎄, and the crowd is not too bad.
Even just taking photos feels worth the ticket!
I’m not really a Nintendo fan and I’m not into intense rides,
But! If you love The Simpsons — this is a must!
The Simpsons Ride only made me a little dizzy, but it’s such a classic. The visuals are iconic and the themed areas are insanely photo-worthy 📸

🌊 2｜Sausalito — A European-Style Seaside Town: The Healing Paradise Across from San Francisco
This small island town across from San Francisco — Sausalito — has a totally different vibe.
It feels European, relaxed, and incredibly chill 💆♀️
Taking the ferry while feeling the sea breeze literally feels like a movie scene 💙
The area is very safe, and you can easily explore on foot.
There are many unique boutiques and cafés, and there’s one ice cream shop that’s absolutely delicious (if you don’t understand the English menu, just ask to sample some flavors!) 🍦

This was actually a last-minute addition to our itinerary (we hadn’t planned to go!)
But as a Friends superfan 👩❤️👨, how could I skip it?!
Did you know?
Although Friends is set in New York, it was actually filmed here — in Warner Bros. Studio, California!
When I saw Monica’s kitchen and sat on that famous Central Perk couch, I almost cried 🥹

🏔 4｜Yosemite Day Tour: Experience a Postcard View Without Driving!
We almost gave up on Yosemite because only my friend could drive and it seemed too far
But I really wanted to experience this world-famous natural wonder 🌲🌄
In the end, we found a Yosemite one-day tour on Klook (such a lucky find! 😊)
The price was around USD200, which at first felt a bit expensive,
But then I realized:
