Hello everyone, I’m Hattie 👋 and today I’m taking you on one of the most exciting stops from my California trip — Universal Studios Hollywood🐾
We booked our tickets in advance through 👉 Klook (super easy, highly recommend!) and got the official QR code via email. On the day of entry, just bring your passport/ID and show the QR code at the gate 📲 No stress, all smooth!
🌍 Why Universal Studios Hollywood?
Compared to the Universal Studios in Japan or Singapore, Hollywood offers exclusive attractions you can’t find anywhere else:

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker or a self-declared chicken like me 😂, there are so many rides that are fun but not terrifying.
🍩 Simpsons Land | My #1 Must-Visit
As a loyal Simpsons fan, I literally flew here just for this land 💛
The Simpsons Ride is a motion-simulator attraction that’s surprisingly gentle — yes, a few twists, but overall super fun and totally scaredy-cat friendly ✌️
I even met a giant Homer Simpson who kept playing with the snowball on my hat 😂 It was hilarious and honestly the highlight of my day!
📸 The design of the land feels like you stepped into Springfield. Every corner is Instagram-worthy.
At some point, I even fantasized about becoming a Simpsons character — “Hattie in Springfield,” causing chaos… and I’d totally be okay with that 🤣
🍄 Nintendo World | Game On!
I’ve never been a gamer, but this land won my heart immediately!
From the second you put on the interactive gear, you feel like you’re living inside a video game 🎮✨
One of the rides lets you shoot targets while riding — and it’s SO immersive.
Fun fact: we were randomly given a free Express Pass by a kind staff member, so we played it TWICE in a row 🍀 (best luck ever!)
Every wall, block, and mushroom detail is perfect for photos 📷 Even if you’re not a Nintendo fan, you’ll end up smiling like crazy here.
💛 Minion Land | Banana Fun
This area smells like bananas before you even walk in 🍌😂
The ride is a cute 4D theater experience with moving seats, air puffs, and smells. Totally fun for all ages!
🛍️ Don’t skip the Minion gift shop. I hugged the softest plushie I’ve ever touched🥞
(wanna bought one… but my wallet said no 🙃)
Still, I couldn’t resist getting some quirky Minion-themed snacks, including a pudding that was both adorable and delicious 🍮.
🧹 The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
No way I was going to miss this magical land!
The Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride is thrilling but surprisingly friendly for non-thrill-seekers (like me 😅)
The whole village is a photo paradise, especially with Hogwarts Castle as your backdrop.
And of course, I tried the famous Butterbeer 🍺 — sweet, foamy, and slightly like cream soda with caramel vibes. Loved it!
🎥 Studio Tour | Hollywood Exclusive ✅
This is the one ride you must not miss.
Only available in Hollywood, the Studio Tour takes you through real filming sets, explosive effects, and behind-the-scenes movie magic.
It’s thrilling without being scary — perfect for all types of visitors.
💦 WaterWorld | Explosive Action Show
Don’t underestimate this show! It’s way more epic than I imagined.
Expect explosions, jet skis, stunt actors, and even giant fireballs right in front of you.
If you sit in the “splash zone,” prepare to get soaked 💦😂
🎯 My Recommended Play Order
Sharing my friend Winnie’s super efficient plan (it worked so well!):
1. Head straight to Nintendo World early (lines get crazy fast).
2. While waiting, check Studio Tour time slots and reserve.
3. Next, go to Harry Potter land (also very popular).
4. After that, slow down and enjoy the rest of the park — shopping, eating, and photos! ✨（play first, photo later)
📅 Extra Tips
• 🎟️ Buy tickets online in advance (👉 Klook worked perfectly for me).
• ⏰ Check the official Universal Studios Hollywood website for park hours (they change daily).
• 🎄 If you’re visiting in December, enjoy the Christmas vibes — the park is beautifully decorated!
• 📸 Don’t forget your camera or phone, every land has photo-worthy corners.

Universal Studios Hollywood is so much more than just rides.
It’s about stepping into your favorite worlds, meeting beloved characters, and making memories that are both exciting and heartwarming.
From giant Homer hugs 💛, to shooting fireballs in Nintendo World 🍄, to sipping Butterbeer 🧹 — every corner has something magical waiting.
Would I go again? 100% YES. Next time, I might even dress up like a Simpsons character just for fun 🤣
