3 Besties in Tokyo? KOKO HOTEL Tsukiji is a Total Steal for Under $50! 💖🏨
The Ultimate Guide to Staying Near Tsukiji Market Without Breaking the Bank! 🍣
Hello everyone~ It’s Hattie 💛 Today I’m coming at you with a total hidden gem that I’m low-key obsessed with. If you’ve ever planned a trip to Japan, you know the struggle: finding a hotel that doesn’t feel like a literal shoebox. Well, I think I found “The One” for my fellow budget-savvy travelers! 🏆
I’m talking about KOKO HOTEL Tsukiji Ginza

I’m writing this feeling so hyped because I honestly think this is the #1 affordable hotel in Tokyo right now. I almost didn’t want to share it so it doesn’t get fully booked, but good vibes are meant to be shared, right? If you’re heading to Tokyo in 2026, bookmark this ASAP!
📍 Living 5 Minutes from Tsukiji Market? Yes, Please!

If I had to pick the absolute best thing about this hotel, it’s 100% the location. You are literally a 5-minute stroll away from Tsukiji Outer Market. If you’re like me and your brain doesn’t fully function until you’ve had a snack, this is your paradise 🥪

Waking up and walking over for a fresh seafood bowl or a Wagyu beef skewer is the kind of morning routine I could get used to. Also, huge shoutout to the “Matcha Stand” nearby—you have to grab a Hojicha Latte or a Matcha Latte there. It’s pure bliss in a cup🍵 Plus, you’re super close to both the Tsukiji and Tsukiji Shijo subway stations (less than 10 mins walk) Getting anywhere in Tokyo—Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza—was a total breeze. Location score? A solid 100/100! 💯
No More Room Gloom! Say Goodbye to the “Tiny Tokyo Room” Nightmare 🏠

Okay, let’s get real. Have you ever checked into a Tokyo hotel and realized you have to jump over your suitcase just to get to the bathroom? 😆 I didn’t realize how much I hated cramped spaces until I experienced a “narrow room” meltdown on a previous trip. It actually affects your mood!
This time, my girls and I did our homework and checked the square footage. Let me tell you, that extra bit of space makes all the difference in the world! Walking into our room at KOKO HOTEL, I literally wanted to do a happy dance 💃 The vibes were so much better. Also, there’s a convenience store just seconds away for those late-night snack runs (because Lawson’s egg sandwiches are a lifestyle, let’s be honest).
Pro Service & Aesthetic Amenities 💖
Another big win? The check-in process. I know everyone is moving toward those robotic self-service kiosks, but I’m a little old-school (lol). I love having a real human at the front desk to welcome you! It just feels more personal and way less stressful than fighting with a machine after a long flight.
They also have a super cute “amenity bar” in the lobby. You can grab your toothbrushes, combs, and even skincare packets. If you’re a total scatterbrain like me and always forget your face wash, they’ve got your back! It’s those little things that make a stay feel so much more cozy. 💖
🛏 Room Tour: The Triple Room Dream

We booked the Triple Room, and it was perfect. Three real beds—no one had to suffer on a tiny sofa bed! 🛌 I’ve always found Japanese hotel beds to be super comfy, and KOKO HOTEL didn’t disappoint. The mattress was a bit on the firmer side, which is actually great for your back after walking 20,000 steps a day. Do all Japanese people just have amazing posture? 😆
The real “wow” factor was the space. Between the beds, there was enough room to fully lay out a 29-inch hardshell suitcase. We had three giant suitcases open at the same time and we could still walk around without playing a game of hopscotch! 🏃♀️

The bathroom was also a total win: Dry/Wet Separation! For three girls getting ready in the morning, this is a literal lifesaver. One person can shower while another uses the sink—maximum efficiency! ⏳ And yes, there’s a full-length mirror for checking your OOTD before heading out to take 5,000 photos.
The Sweetest Little Details: Soup & Power Outlets ☕️

Every bed had its own USB port and power outlet. There were more at the desk, too. We had three phones, three power banks, and cameras all charging at once with zero drama 🔌
The room was about 215 sq ft (20sqm), and we paid roughly 19,670 JPY per night. When you split that between three people, it’s less than $45 USD (approx. $1,300 TWD) per person! For this location and this much space in Tokyo? The CP value is absolutely insane!
Oh, and the cutest part? Besides the usual tea bags, they provide instant soup packets! There is nothing better than coming back at night and having a warm cup of savory broth to soothe your stomach. 🥣 Even though they offer a paid breakfast in the lobby, since you’re steps away from Tsukiji, you’d be crazy not to go out and feast on the market food!
