Aritzia Super Puff XtraShorty Review: Is the $168 Marshmallow Puffer Actually Worth It? ☁️💖

My Honest Aritzia Super Puff Review: Why the XtraShorty in Mochi Pink is My New Personality ☁️💖

Hello everyone~It’s Hattie here 💛 Today we are talking about the ultimate “IT” girl staple: the Aritzia Super Puff.

If you’ve ever stepped foot into an Aritzia or scrolled through TikTok for more than five seconds, you know the Super Puff is basically a lifestyle. I’ve been eyeing them in-store for ages—testing the zippers, feeling that incredible loft, and staring at the rainbow of colors. But honestly? I was scared. I know my “collector’s habit” too well. I knew once I bought one, I’d want every length and finish in existence!

Well, I finally caved. I’ve officially joined the Super Puff family, and after wearing it out, I have some thoughts on whether it’s actually worth your hard-earned cash❄️✨

📏 The Length Struggle: Why I Chose the XtraShorty

If you check the Aritzia site, the Super Puff family tree is intense. They have everything from the “Long” (the literal sleeping bag) to the “Shorty” to this one—the XtraShorty.

As a 5’2” (159cm) girlie, I’m definitely on the petite side. I usually skip the long coats because I don’t want to look like I’m being swallowed whole by down feathers. Plus, I’m always on the go—and navigating a crowded subway or a tiny coffee shop in a floor-length puffer is a struggle I’m not ready for.

I spent a whole afternoon debating between the “Shorty” (4-puffs) and the “XtraShorty” (3-puffs). Here’s why the XtraShorty won:

1. The Petite Pro:

Aritzia models are usually 5’10” and the XtraShorty looks like a bolero on them lol. But on us 5’2″ babes? It actually hits right above the waist, which is the “golden ratio” for making your legs look miles long! 🦵✨

2. The “Car Coat” Vibe:

Let’s be real—if you’re driving or running errands, a huge coat is annoying. This is the perfect weight for “car-to-door” life.

🎨 Color Deep Dive: That “Mochi Pink” Glow Up

My jacket is in the shade Mochi Pink (the Matte finish). It is hands-down the softest, most ethereal pink Aritzia has ever dropped🎀

It’s the ultimate “Soft Girl” aesthetic. It’s light and airy without being neon or “Barbie pink.” It looks like a literal cloud ☁️. Since the jacket is so puffy, the pink makes you look like a giant, stylish marshmallow. It’s incredibly photogenic and brightens up those gloomy, grey winter mornings in the city!

🔍 Sizing, Warmth, & The “Aritzia Tea”

Here are my stats for reference:

• Height: 5’2″ (159 cm)

• Waist: 26/27

• Size Purchased: Small (S)

Sizing Pro-Tip:

Super Puffs generally run large. I went with an S so I could fit a thick Sunday Best hoodie underneath. If you want a “snatched” look or only plan to wear baby tees, definitely size down.

Is it actually warm?

Aritzia claims this is rated down to -4°F (-20°C). While the 700+ fill power goose down is incredibly high quality and will keep your upper body toasty, remember: your midriff is out! 🧊 If you live in Chicago or NYC and plan to walk 20 minutes in a blizzard, your belly will be freezing. But for a West Coast winter or just running into a shop? It’s perfect.

The Hidden Details:

• The Bungee Hem: I always pull the drawcord tight to create a “bubble” shape. It keeps the wind out and makes the crop look more intentional.

• Thumbhole Cuffs: These are a lifesaver. No wind chill up the sleeves! 🧤

• The Return Policy (Watch Out!): Just a heads up—Aritzia’s return policy is notoriously strict. If you buy this during the Clientele Sale or any “discount” period, it’s usually Store Credit Only. Make sure you love the color before you commit! 💸

💃 2 Ways I’m Styling My Puffer

Look 1: The “Pilates Princess”

• The Fit: Mochi Pink XtraShorty + Espresso Brown Leggings

• Cropped puffers and high-waisted leggings are the ultimate duo. I love the “brown sugar and pink” combo—it feels very “clean girl.” It’s the perfect outfit for a workout class or a weekend matcha run. 🍵✨

Look 2: The Soft Girl Weekend

• The Fit: Mochi Pink + Light Wash Baggy Jeans

• I love a monochromatic light-toned moment. I pair the puffer with light blue jeans and a white cropped tee. To add some extra cuteness, I add a white beanie to keep the proportions balanced. Layering a slightly longer white top underneath the cropped jacket adds a cool “streetwear” dimension! 🧸❄️

🌟 Hattie’s Final Verdict

I am officially obsessed. My only problem now is that I already want it in Black and maybe a vest… someone take my credit card away! 💸

At $168, it’s an investment, but the quality of the down and the fit make it worth it compared to cheaper fast-fashion puffers that lose their “puff” after one season. If you want to stay warm without looking like a shapeless blob, the XtraShorty is the move.
