To be completely honest with you all, the summer heat has been so brutal lately that I’ve had zero motivation to step outside and take outfit photos. Every single time I get ready to leave the house, my brain just defaults to the most oversized, baggiest clothes I own—you know, the kind where the breeze can actually blow straight through to keep me from melting! 🫠
But hey, a girl can only stay in a fashion slump for so long before she needs to pull herself together! Today, I am finally shaking off the laziness to share a massive trend for the 2026 Spring/Summer season that you absolutely need to try: the art of “one item, multiple ways”!
For this lookbook, we are diving deep into an aesthetic that is a little bit Y2K, a little bit coquette-chic, and heavily doused in sweet, pastel pink vibes.
Here is the hilarious backstory of how this post came to life. I was casually scrolling through the Urban Outfitters website late one night, and my finger accidentally slipped right onto the “Add to Cart” button for the most incredibly adorable pink cat-print pajama set. When it arrived, it was so ridiculously cute that I couldn’t bear the thought of hiding it away in my bedroom forever. It felt like a fashion crime! So, I challenged myself to style this pajama set into 3 completely different, street-legal, outdoor-approved looks. 😉

For our very first look, I wanted to show you something I threw together on a whim for a casual evening stroll and a late-night iced coffee run with friends. Since the summer evenings can get a little breezy (and let’s be real, the mosquitoes are out for blood), I grabbed a pair of baggy jeans from Weekday to balance out the tiny, breezy pajama top.
When it comes to baggy denim, I usually have a love-hate relationship with them. So many wide-leg jeans have this awful habit of flattening your backside, making it look like a giant, wide, unflattering square from behind (crying tears of fashion grief here). But this pair from Weekday? Game changer! They actually give me a silhouette that I am obsessed with. The tailoring around the hips is pure magic.
Since I am 159 cm, finding the right length is always a gamble, but these hit just at the right spot—grazing the floor slightly for that effortless, slouchy look that visually elongates my legs. I cannot recommend Weekday denim enough; the price-to-quality ratio is unmatched! The specific style is called the Astro Jean, and I am wearing a size 27/30 for reference.
To tie the whole outfit together, I reached for a pair of sneakers that match the pajama top perfectly: my trusty deep pink adidas Gazelles 🌸. These sneakers have been in my rotation for years now, and they are practically my ride-or-die. Whether I’m hitting the gym for a lifting session, walking through the park on a Sunday morning, trying to look edgy, or leaning into a cute girly vibe, there is absolutely nothing these shoes cannot handle. How to Style Lounge Pants Without Looking Like You Just Rolled Out of Bed 👟
This next outfit is my absolute holy grail for airport fashion or any day where comfort is your number one priority, but you still want to look put-together for photos. Let’s face it, sitting in a cramped airplane seat or walking around a massive shopping mall for hours can be miserable if you aren’t dressed correctly.
The pants I’m wearing here are also from Urban Outfitters, and the fabric is like floating on a cloud. If you are a girl who does dance classes or loves that sporty, off-duty model aesthetic, this is the “perfect dance pant” you have been searching for! The drape is beautiful, and if you pair it with a fitted crop top, it accentuates your waistline perfectly. As you can see from the back view, the fit is incredibly flattering and keeps everything looking lifted. UO actually keeps dropping this style in new, vibrant colors, and honestly, I am giving you all permission to go buy them in bulk!
Being 5’3″ means UO pants are almost always excessively long on me. However, the brilliant hack with these pants is that you can simply fold the elastic waistband down by one turn. It shortens the length instantly, giving you that perfectly relaxed, “slightly dragging on the floor” look without ever needing a trip to the tailor!
For footwear, I went with the ultimate outdoor staple: the Salomon XT-6 ⛰️. Whenever my itinerary involves walking over 15,000 steps, these are the only shoes I trust. The arch support is unmatched, and they add a great structural, utilitarian contrast to the soft, cozy sweatpants. The sleek shape of the Salomon XT-6 also does wonders for making your feet look slim and elongate
💡 Sizing Tip: The ankle collar on the XT-6 can feel a bit snug and firm when you first put them on. I highly recommend going up half a size (or even a full size if you have wider feet) for maximum comfort!

This third look embraces a very soft, dreamy pink-and-white color palette. Even though American summers can get incredibly hot, we all know that the air conditioning inside cafes, malls, and offices can feel like the Arctic tundra. Plus, having a lightweight long-sleeve layer is great for sun protection when you’re driving or walking outside.
This white button-up top from Free People is a wardrobe staple that I pull out across all four seasons. It is a masterclass in versatility: you can button it all the way up to wear it as a standalone blouse, or you can leave it strategically unbuttoned as a breezy little cardigan overlay. What makes me love it so much is how ridiculously soft the fabric is against the skin, and it holds up beautifully in the wash without losing its shape or texture. The delicate ruffle trim on the cuffs is gorgeous and fits right into the Balletcore trend that has been taking over our feeds.
For the shoes, I chose to contrast the soft ruffles with my beloved black platform Miu Miu shoes 🖤. Given how many years I’ve owned these and how often I wear them, the cost-per-wear has definitely paid for itself by now! They are incredibly magical because no matter how casual or messy the rest of your outfit is, throwing these on instantly makes it look like you put intentional effort into a “high-low” fashion look. They look amazing with trousers, but if you love wearing short skirts, just add a pair of white socks, and you have an instant, high-fashion collegiate look.

The eyelet lace detailing on these socks is so intricate and high-quality. Beyond the aesthetics, they are incredibly soft and durable. I have run them through the washing machine countless times, and they haven’t gotten stiff or scratchy like cheaper socks tend to do. I highly recommend these to anyone trying out the Balletcore aesthetic. Wow, it feels so rewarding to finally finish a proper fashion post again! Summer really has a way of making us want to give up on getting dressed altogether, doesn’t it? 🫠
And honestly, a little life update: because I spent the last few weeks hiding in oversized clothes and being a total couch potato, I definitely gained a little bit of weight! Haha! 😂 You probably can’t tell from the photos because my face naturally has a lot of structure and hollow cheeks, and my weight always goes straight to my stomach first—which is very easy to hide under loose clothing. I guess you could say my hidden talent is gaining weight effortlessly.
My goal for the rest of the season is to stay inspired, get out of the house, and shoot more fun style content for you guys instead of just thinking about what I’m going to eat next! That being said, I am so incredibly happy with this Urban Outfitters pajama set. It’s rare to find a piece that transitions so seamlessly from bedtime comfort to a fashionable day out.
